Local media reports seeing black UFO ring over Denver mystery continues

first_imgYouTube: CBS DenverLocal residents in Denver were all pulled to a state of shock when a mysterious black ring appeared in the sky. The incident apparently happened two weeks ago, and the news was soon reported by local media outlets. After seeing the mysterious sighting, many people claimed that it might be either fireworks or a volcanic activity which might have created the sky right. As the image went viral on online spaces, self-proclaimed extraterrestrial researcher Scott C Waring analysed it and outlandishly claimed that the black ring in the skies could be actually an alien UFO. Waring also added that Denver is a hotbed of UFO activities, and made it clear that a faulty alien cloaking technology might be the result of this weird sighting.”Denver is a UFO hotspot with most of its citizens have seen UFOs in the area. It is totally possible that this ring is actually the outline of an alien cloaked craft that is having difficulties keeping cloaked. It is also possible that a UFO shot off so fast that it left a black ring around it. Lots of white glowing balls have been seen over the Denver area near the Rocky Mountains for decades, so its no surprise to see such oddities in the sky above Denver,” wrote Waring on his website ET Data Base.A few weeks back, a series of images snapped from Mount Shasta mountain, California had gone viral on the internet. These images showed a cigar-shaped UFO with light emanating from its body leaving the mountain ranges. The eyewitness who captured this strange incident passed on the images to Mutual UFO Network (UFO) and the non-profit organization is now apparently busy checking whether these photographs are authentic.Waring who operates from Taiwan strongly believes that aliens are continuously visiting the earth to monitor human activities. A few months back, he even went a step ahead and urged the United States president to make him the head of NASA, so that he can unveil more crucial secrets regarding alien life.Interestingly, Dr Young-hae Chi, a top Oxford researcher had also recently revealed that interbreeding between aliens and humans are quite common. The researcher also made it clear that alien hybrids born from mixed parentage are capable of surviving climate change easily, and thus they will emerge as the most dominant species on earth.last_img read more

Over 4000 hacked websites send payment details passwords to hackers

first_img Close Over 4,600 websites, including online shopping stores, blogs and e-learning websites have been breached by hackers in an attack. The malicious code targets third-party elements such as live chat support widgets and analytics tools. It was aimed to take information from all text fields, regardless of what they contained, implying that any information – from names to payment details – entered on the compromised websites would be logged and sent to the hackers.ZDNet reported yesterday that hackers breached the content delivery networks of Picreel and Alpaca Forms, which are optimisation services for website owners. They modified the JavaScript files to embed malicious code which enabled any information entered by visitors to get leaked to the hackers.Willem de Groot, a forensic analyst at Sanguine Security found the Picreel breach and tweeted about it yesterday. He wrote that the information is being relayed to exfil servers in Panama. He commented about the second hack, mentioning that the code had been decoded and can be accessed here. Among the websites affected are product review site Gear Patrol, Shutterstock’s effects-sharing platform, Rocketstock, and Discover magazine’s website. Hackers steal sensitive information from thousands of websiteCreative CommonsThese attacks are called third-party/value-chain/supply-chain attacks where hackers enter the website using a third-party plugin. As per a report from Symantec, a cybersecurity firm, such attacks increased by 78 percent between 2017 and 2018, making cybersecurity a major concern for value-chain providers.Picreel operates on websites by tracking visitor movement and delivering relevant advertisements to boost ad revenue. Alpaca Forms is an open-source form creation service sponsored by Cloud CMS, a content-management platform. Hackers steal sensitive information from thousands of websiteReutersAccording to an update of the ZDNet report, Cloud CMS subsequently intervened and resolved the tainted code. The company clarified that there was no security breach with Cloud CMS and there were no problems with any of its customers or products. There is no evidence to suggest this however, unless users applied the Alpaca Forms script to their sites on their own.At the time of writing, 1,249 websites are live and still affected by the Picreel breach. 3,435 websites still have the code from the Alpaca breach. This hack is not like that time political party, BJP’s website got hacked. This breach can allow hackers to gather names, mobile numbers and bank account details along with browsing data. Thus, visitors surfing these websites are advised to exercise caution. Twitterati have a field day at Mani Shankar Aiyars expense after he

first_imgMani Shankar Aiyar is trending on social mediaTwitterWith just five days remaining for the final phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, known for his controversial remarks and conspicuous by his absence this election season, shot into the limelight again. He justified his ‘neech’ jibe at Prime Minister Modi in 2017 by describing them as ‘prophetic’ and attacking him with other strong words such as vacuous and foul-mouthed in an opinion piece penned for Rising Kashmir, an English newspaper. While this has led to intense debate on news channels, the social media too is abuzz with reactions to Aiyar’s attack on PM. However, as is often the case in the cyberworld, it’s not just outrage or anger that is on display but also a great sense of humour. Many members of the Twitterati have decided to poke fun at the veteran Congress leader by making jokes and memes about him.Rajya Sabha member and senior columnist Swapan Dasgupta, who is helping BJP’s campaign in West Bengal, put out a sarcastic tweet that also takes a jibe at him. “Welcome back my good friend Mani Shankar Aiyar. Reassured that you weren’t there in Balakot. The BJP regretted your absence during the campaign but there is still the final over left,” wrote the former editor on his timeline. But he wasn’t alone in combining criticism with a sense of humour. There were plenty of others. Here are some of the funniest tweets that have been seen on the social media platform. Mani Shankar Aiyar being welcomed. COPY LINKAD Loading … Close This has to be the coolest PUBG Mobile trick, EVER!!!center_img PUBG Mobile has become a household name in India and across the globe. Be it for good or bad reasons, PUBG Mobile is a hot topic of discussion among friends and families. For its players, PUBG Mobile brings an ultimate gaming experience without having a gaming setup in place. But that’s not the only reason why PUBG Mobile is so popular.Tencent Games, developer of PUBG Mobile, is constantly updating its battle royale game with new features and content that is attracting new players while keeping existing ones engaged to the game. But an upcoming update to PUBG Mobile has to be the most exciting one ever as it brings fresh weapons and content straight out of players’ wild imaginations.PUBG Mobile has updated its Chinese beta version of the app to introduce helicopters, new combat vehicle, enhanced weapons like RPGs and much more. Sadly, there’s no word on if and when the new content will arrive for the masses, but it could eventually make it to the rest of the world when the developers think it’s ready. For now, players can either wait in the excitement of the new update or try downloading the Chinese version of the game on the phone to test the new features. But doing so won’t sync your game progress, neither will it allow you to play with your mates unless they also have the Chinese version installed on the phones. PUBG Mobile updateScreenshotRegardless of what option you choose, it’s worth checking out the new content in the upcoming update before it is officially released.HelicoptersThis has to be the single best thing in PUBG Mobile. We played Call of Duty Mobile and found the choppers to be quite exciting. Bringing helicopters to PUBG Mobile enhances the gameplay by taking the combat to the skies. Helicopters also make it easier to commute and spot enemies to take them out while flying. The controls are pretty simple, top arrow to lift, down arrow to land and the direction is controlled separately. The chopper in the game replicates the real-life Boeing AH-6 Light Helicopter and it appears up to 4 people can sit in it.As the pilot flies the chopper around, other players will be able to engage in the combat, just like in the case of a car or jeep. But a sample video shows that the helicopters won’t be a part of the Classic mode in Erangel, but a special Arcade mode. The details of it remain to be uncovered.RPGs, grenade launcher and moreWith a new mode of transport included in PUBG Mobile, players need to be equipped with capable weapons. PUBG Mobile also comes with RPG and grenade launchers so players in the chopper or on the ground can engage in a fair fight. Both these new weapons don’t have a long-range, so players would need to get close to the enemies to take them out. PUBG Mobile Lite has RPGsIBTimes India/Sami KhanAdditionally, there are several new items for players, such as a repair kit for the chopper, binoculars and more. Players also get a chute to land safely if they jump out a flying chopper.Combat vehicleIn addition to the choppers and new weapons, PUBG Mobile also has a new BRDM combat ground vehicle, which can withstand gunfire and explosions. The vehicle is already seen in the PC version of the game and it can travel both on land and in water. If not a helicopter, this can be a really cool mode of transport in the game.Check out a video published by Mr. Ghost Gaming on YouTube, which has been taken from a Chinese beta tester of the game.Let us know what you think and if the new additions are exciting.last_img read more

For Catalan separatists trial of leaders is personal

first_imgThis combination of file pictures created on 26 October, 2018 shows jailed Catalan separatist leaders (TOP L-R) Raul Romeva, Joaquim Forn, Jordi Turull, Oriol Junqueras, Josep Rull (BOTTOM L-R) Jordi Cuixart, Carme Forcadell, Dolors Bassa and Jordi Sanchez. Photo: AFPWith vigils and concerts outside prisons, Catalan independence supporters for months have shown their backing for 12 separatist leaders who go on trial on Tuesday over their bid to break the region away from Spain. Now that the highly anticipated trial is finally about to get underway at Spain’s Supreme Court in Madrid, they have vowed to step up their protests in another show of solidarity. While just 12 leaders will sit in the dock over their role in the failed 2017 independence bid, many Catalan separatists feel they are also being put on trial for having taken part in a banned referendum held on 1 October that year.”I’m a lifelong separatist and I voted on 1 October, it’s as if I was being tried,” said retired teacher Eugenia Fernandez at a recent vigil held for the detained Catalan leaders at the picturesque Plaza de la Vila de Gracia square in Barcelona.”We’re here because of the huge injustice that our government is in jail or exile for doing what we asked them to do — fight to set up a Catalan republic,” the 67-year-old said. The vigil Fernandez took part in has been held every Monday evening for the past 15 months at the square in Gracia, a bohemian district of the Catalan capital which is also its most pro-separatist.People held up large black and white images of the Catalan leaders, as well of those who fled abroad after the failed independence bid, along with the word “freedom” in Catalan and English.Only the chime of a clock on top of an imposing 19th century tower in the centre of the square broke the silence.Nine of the leaders have been charged with rebellion, with some also accused of misuse of public funds. They have all been in pre-trial detention for months, some of them for more than a year.Unifying cause “This is a reaction against the brutality of this trial, which is not against a few people but is instead against Catalan political feeling,” said award-winning Catalan writer Ramon Solsona, who read some poems at the vigil.Similar events have been held across the northeastern region, where the leaders have obtained near-martyr status among many separatists who see them as “political prisoners”.The 12 defendants face prison sentences of between seven and 25 years if convicted, with former Catalan vice president Oriol Junqueras at risk of the longest sentence.Catalonia’s president at the time of the secession bid, Carles Puigdemont, is not among those on trial since he fled to Belgium where he regularly receives visits from top Catalan separatists. With Catalan separatist parties divided over strategy — some calling for more civil disobedience while others favour dialogue with Spain’s central government — the cause of the jailed Catalan leaders helps keep them united.Judging all of usPolls show the region remains split over the issue of independence, and separatist protests — which in the past drew over a million people — appear to have lost strength.Pro-independence groups have responded by holding smaller events to show support for the detained separatist leaders. The defendants were moved from prisons in Madrid to jails in Catalonia shortly after Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez came to power in June in what was seen as a goodwill gesture.Since then separatists have gathered regularly outside of the Catalan jails where they were being held, holding concerts, camping outside overnight and forming human pyramids, called “castells”, a Catalan tradition.Separatist parties and associations have vowed to stage a wave of protests during the trial, starting with demonstrations on 12 and 16 February in Barcelona, followed by a general strike across Catalonia on 21 February. A major protest is scheduled in Madrid on 16 March.Protests are also planned outside of Spain, in Berlin, Paris, Brussels and London.”In the end, they are judging all of us. They are judging an entire people and its right to self-determination,” Catalan president Quim Torra said last month at an event with relatives of the jailed leaders.last_img read more
